Activ8 Holiday Session (Congleton)

We have a variety of fun activities including Trampolining, arts & crafts, adapted bikes and much more. If you attend our holiday session you will also have the opportunity to access the public swim for free. Activ8 world cup rugby event (Crewe & Nantwich RUFC)

The event will be a fun filled afternoon of rugby including a training session with club coaches, some small sided games (numbers permitting) followed by lunch. Following lunch there will be the opportunity to watch the First XV game. Workshop on Person-Centred Planning for Parent Carers (Week 2 of 2)

Following on from the very popular “taster” session at our July Open Forum we can now bring you THINKING ABOUT THE BEST SUPPORT FOR YOUR CHILD OR YOUNG PERSON: A workshop on person-centred planning for parent carers

The workshop will run over two days – Monday 23 and Monday 30 November. You’ll have the opportunity to use what you have learned in the first session, so be prepared to spend an hour or two between the two sessions thinking about your own situation and starting to answer some of the questions raised. It doesn’t need to take a long time and you won’t have to come up with firm ideas, just have a go!

We are holding an open forum looking at mental and physical health care services for children and young people with additional needs in Cheshire East.

There will be speakers in the morning – several short talks covering a range of topics including health and sport activities for carers, patient passports, toileting, commissioning NHS services and speech & language therapy,

Then lunch is provided, and the opportunity to browse the information stalls in the marketplace and talk to professionals about their services after lunch.  Stalls include National Deaf Children’s Society, Life Links, CAMHS, Cerebra, Cheshire Centre for Independent Living, Healthwatch, CEIAS and more.

Members of Cheshire East Parent Carer Forum can claim their childcare or travel expenses.

If childcare is a problem, you are welcome to bring your chidren along with you (please let us know). If you don’t think your children would be able to sit through the speakers then just join us at midday for lunch and the marketplace.

If you need a lift, or are able to offer a lift to another parent carer, please let us know.

Family Fun Day – 30 October

We’re joining together with Everybody Leisure and Cheshire East Local Authority to hold a FAMILY FUN DAY for children & young people with additional needs and their families

It’s on Friday 30 October, so there will be some half term halloweeny fun -from 1pm to 3pm

There will be lots of activities for the kids, plus information stands from short break providers and some refreshments
