January Short Breaks Open Forums – update

“Short breaks” covers a huge range of activities – from half-hour inclusive activities open to all children, through more specialised supported activities, to weekend activities and overnight respite care. Short breaks should offer our children opportunities to try new things, to make friends, and to develop their own personal and social skills, and offers our families a break from caring responsibilities.
The forums will give you the chance to find out what short breaks are currently available for children in Cheshire East, and to have some input about what services are commissioned in the future. Dave Leadbetter, the commissioner for these services in CE, will be joining us to find out what services we’re using, what works and what doesn’t, and what we services we need.
We’re holding a daytime forum at St Peters Church Hall on 20 January, 10am to 2pm, and an evening forum at Ruby’s Fund in Congleton on 29 January, 6.30pm to 9pm. For more information, or to book your place, please email (cheshireastpcf@gmail.com) or call (07794431768).
