Summer Holidays 2015 – Activities for disabled young people in Cheshire East

Friends for Leisure, Central Cheshire Buddy Scheme, Everybody Sport & Recreation, Cheshire Centre for Independent Living & Oakhanger Project have joined together to put on a summer of activities for disabled young people in Cheshire East.

Friends for Leisure: email
Ages 5 – 21. You must be registered with Friends for Leisure to attend the activities we provide. Siblings are welcome to all our holiday activities. We only have limited places, so please call 01260 275333 to book. If you’d like to come to our activities, but aren’t registered already then please get in touch at least 2 weeks before the activity.

Central Cheshire Buddy Scheme: email
CCBS will be running a number of different activities and clubs throughout the summer holidays. We ask all parents to register their child in advance. Contact Tori on 07743341981. We provide lunch and we have limited transport available in the Crewe area. CCBS also provide support for carers and siblings of disabled children.

Everybody Sport and Recreation: email alex.cartney@everybody,org,ukAges 3 – 25. All our activities are for all the family to take part with siblings welcome. There’s no registration required in advance, but you will be required to complete a registration form at your first session. Parents are asked to remain on site at the session. Cheshire Centre for Independent Living / Buzz Youth Group: email
Ages 8 – 18. Full registration is required before attendance at an activity. Existing members, please email or ring 01606 661853 to confirm your attendance.

Please note that the Buzz Youth Activity Group is a fully inclusive group and parents / carers are not required to attend activity sessions with their young person.

Oakhanger Project: email
All ages welcome. Activity and adventure programmes for children of all ages and their families. We also provide training and support in volunteering and leadership, and specialist courses in Canoeing and Kayaking. The Action Team provides support for young volunteers ages 14 – 17, and prepares them for leadership in activity and adventure. For more information, call 01270 882158 or 07999 932963
