Cystic Fibrosis Trust
Cystic fibrosis is a life-shortening inherited disease, affecting over 10,000 people in the UK. You can’t catch or develop cystic fibrosis, it’s something you’re born with and most cases in the UK are now diagnosed soon after birth. If you or someone you know has been recently diagnosed with cystic fibrosis it can be overwhelming, but the Cystic Fibrosis Trust can help with information and support.

CAMHS / LD CAMHS
CAMHS / LD CAMHS are a team of specially trained workers whose job it is to improve the mental health of children and young people living in the area. We work in partnership with GPs, hospitals, other professionals and you their parent and carers, to support children’s health care needs

Speech and Language Therapy
The Speech and Language Therapy Department provides assessment and intervention for individuals experiencing communication and related difficulties. These may include:
- Difficulty speaking clearly.
- Difficulty understanding and formulating language.
- Difficulties using language locally.
- Stammering
- Voice problems
- Difficulty swallowing food and fluid safely.

School Nursing
The Special Needs Nursing Service is a team of qualified nurses and health care assistants dedicated to providing clinical support to children and young adults with complex health needs, within the special schools across Central and Eastern Cheshire.

Community Paediatrics (Macclesfield)
The Children’s Ward consists of 21 beds in total, caring for children living in East Cheshire from 0 years to 16 years with medical, surgical, orthopaedic, or mental health issues.
Continence Service
With the right help and treatment children with incontinence can be cured or improved, or provided with special products to manage the problem.
Dentistry
It’s important to look after teeth and gums whatever a child’s age or disability.
Health Visitors
Health Visitors are specialist Public Health Practitioners who have expertise and experience in child development and family health.
All children under five years of age have a Health Visitor. Health Visitors are qualified nurses who have a specialist qualification in community health and have knowledge about adult and child health promotion and education.
Health Visitors arrange to see patients at a mutually convenient time either at the surgery, at home or at another suitable location. Appointments for development reviews may be offered at Children’s Centres, clinics or home.
Eating Disorder Service
This service for young people is delivered by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
GP Surgeries (Eastern Cheshire CCG)
GPs look after the health of people in their local community and deal with a whole range of health problems. They also provide health education, offer advice on smoking and diet, run clinics, give vaccinations and carry out simple surgical operations.

PAL's (Eastern Cheshire)
Patients are the most important people in the NHS and the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) is there to make sure you receive the best possible service when you are under the care of the NHS in Cheshire East..
PALS is an impartial confidential NHS service that can provide patients, relatives and carers using the East Cheshire NHS Trust with ‘on the spot’ help, support and information.
PAL's (South Cheshire)
NHS South Cheshire CCG encourages comments from patients, carers and local people, on the quality of the services provided – this could be a compliment, comment/suggestion, concern or complaint.
Our aim is to continuously improve the quality of health services in South Cheshire. We are committed to giving an equal service to all members of the public regardless of age, colour, race, ethnic origin, disability, gender, religious or sexual orientation. If you are unhappy with the way you have been treated by the NHS you have the right to make a complaint.
The Patient and Advice Liaison Service (PALS) provides on the spot help with the power to negotiate immediate solutions or speedy resolutions of problems.

Whether it’s improving them today or helping to shape them for tomorrow; Healthwatch Cheshire East is all about local voices being able to influence the delivery and design local services.
Healthwatch Cheshire East will work with local people and organisations as well as service providers so that individuals living in Cheshire East get the best possible Health and Social Care services. Not just for people who use them now, but for anyone who might need them in the future.
Healthvoice (Eastern Cheshire CCG)
Eastern Cheshire Community HealthVoice group is the Patient, Carer and Public Reference Group for NHS Eastern Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). It is also an advisory committee to the Governing Body.
It acts as a champion for patients, carers and the public in Eastern Cheshire to influence and support the development and commissioning of local healthcare services by NHS Eastern Cheshire CCG and other health bodies where appropriate

Physiotherapy is a type of therapy that can help ill, injured or disabled people recover movement and function to their full potential.
Physiotherapy takes a holistic approach that involves the patient directly in their own care.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy aims to promote people’s health and wellbeing through everyday activities. An occupational therapist can identify problem areas people may have in everyday life, such as dressing or getting around, and will help families work out practical solutions.
By using different techniques, changing the environment and using new equipment, an occupational therapist can help patients regain or improve their independence.
