Cheshire & Warrington Carers Trust (previously Cheshire Carers Centre)

Cheshire & Warrington Carers Trust are a local charity providing information, advice and support to unpaid carers across Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester and Warrington.
CWCT offer a specialist service for parents and carers of children and young people age up to 19 years who live in Cheshire East and have a disability or have additional needs.
Children do not need to have a medical diagnosis or be in receipt of disability benefits – access to the service can be through parents or carers self referral.
CWCT offer regular opportunities for parent carers to meet together to access information, advice and support, regular newsletters, activities and events for parent carers and families.
CWCT also manage the Disabled Children’s Database on behalf of Cheshire East Council.
Events planned for 2015/16 include an inclusive family fun day, a parent carer relaxation event,  and regular leisure/learning/relaxation breaks for smaller groups of parent carers across Cheshire East.
The service also owns a six berth caravan which is available to hire for families registered with the service for a nominal fee, based in Prestatyn North Wales.
CWCT also offer many other services available to all carers including parent carers including training opportunities, welfare benefits advice and support, relaxation vouchers, trips and much more.
Regular coffee mornings are held in Congleton, Crewe, Macclesfield and a new group will soon be launched in the Poynton area.
The service works closely with Cheshire East Parent Carer Forum encouraging and supporting parent carers to become involved with the Forum.
